About the Job
Objective: The Maintenance Account Manager is a critical role that cultivates a relationship with existing accounts while supporting the Maintenance Production Manager who leads the day-today field team. This individual will work closely with the Maintenance Production Manager to schedule additional enhancement work and address any areas needing attention at client properties.
Responsibilities:
1. Operations
- Develop, build, nurture, and maintain exceptional client relationships for a portfolio of commercial landscape customers.
- Provide a premium level of proactive communication for clients and internal customers.
- Proactively plan and communicate daily operational plans to ensure leaders and front-line crews execute the client's scope of work.
- Develop and communicate weekly client updates regarding operations and property needs.
- Work with the Maintenance Production Manager to develop and maintain production schedules
- Create all client proposals.
- Provide change recommendation options as needed to reduce costs without sacrificing quality.
- Conduct property quality assessments through onsite inspections to keep clients informed of work being performed, work scheduled, and other property needs.
- Communicate required Safety requirements and policies with team members; ensure follow-up and accountability for disseminating required information. Identify and recommend changes.
- Support the enhancement crews to ensure they have accurate information regarding out-of-contract work.
- Participate in supporting team members in response to all accidents and incidents.
- Participate in identifying operational improvement needs at the branch, with the crews and clients to deliver best practices.
- Understand core issues happening at the branch and within crew operations to enhance the branch and bring solutions to resolve enabling you to be seen as a valuable resource for operational improvement.
- Ensure the end product meets our standards and exceeds the customer’s expectations
- Plan and manage equipment needs for team members.
- Partner with internal team members across various Operational departments to ensure client needs are being met – specifically within irrigation and horticulture.
- Continuously seek educational opportunities, best practice improvements, and technological opportunities.
2. Financial
- Own and develop internal team budget
- Maintain desired profit margins while managing expenses to budget
- Diligently track job progress to facilitate complete and timely billing
- Build annual and multi-year client budgets.
- Identify/generate/capture all signed SWOs, POs, and subcontracts
Qualifications & Specific Skills:
- Bachelors’ degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a client-facing role; prior operations experience at a top 50 commercial landscape organization preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years managing a team.
- Familiarity with ERP and/or Field Service Management software solutions for the green industry.
- Prior experience establishing, implementing, and measuring KPIs.
- Excellent track record in establishing and maintaining client relationships.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Proven ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
- Willingness to work long hours, including overtime and weekends, and assist with other projects, as required.
- Good judgment as related to all job functions; an eye for detail, strong work ethic, punctuality, and ethics.
- Possess a valid and clean Florida driver’s license.
- Possess pertinent physical requirements commensurate with the job.
