Main Office Assistant
Assist administrators, teachers, personnel, and/or other school-based staff, as
required. Assist with all school-related clerical tasks and any other tasks that need assistance.
A school aide assists with the supervision of students throughout the school day and they provide support to the teacher, scholars, and administration.
Responsibilities and Skills
Answering phone calls, directing calls, taking messages, and placing outgoing calls.
Be an organized self-starter who is organized and can work with minimal supervision.
Able to handle difficult situations quickly.
Handle high traffic/high paced school office with decorum.
Preparing photocopies and other school documents as requested
Ensuring the school’s main office environment is at all times clean, neat, organized and orderly.
Ensuring memos, notices, and other school-specific documents are delivered, collected from classrooms, and processed daily.
Occasionally assist the school nurse with the handling of sick students.
Assisting operations team with special/time-sensitive projects throughout the year, including but not limited to: summer inventory, school year startup, enrollment, assemblies, and end-of-year closeout.
Performing additional duties designated by the Principal and/or Director of Operations for the school’s successful functioning.
Helping set the tone for the school’s warm and professional culture with visitors.
Be able to de-escalate any issues as they might occur with parents and/or scholars..
Perform all duties as set forth by the office manager
This is a 12 month position.
Location: On site. IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE NYC METRO AREA.
