We are looking for a detail-oriented Mailroom Operations Specialist to join our team within our Lockbox department. WORK SCHEDULE: Part-Time Weekend - Saturday and Sunday 4:45 AM to 1:15 PM
WORK LOCATION: 5130 Parkway Plaza Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28217
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Receive, sort, scan, and distribute incoming mail, including Priority, Certified, Express, UPS, and FedEx packages, ensuring all items are processed timely and accurately.
- Capture payments, review potential rejections before sending them out, and manage mail handling associated with payment transactions.
- Operate and perform basic maintenance on mail sorting and opening equipment; troubleshoot issues and escalate service needs to management as required.
- Assist with document scanning tasks to support broader department needs.
- Participate in training and cross-train other team members on mailroom processes and equipment operations.
- Complete other mailroom or Lockbox department tasks as assigned to support overall operations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced mailroom environment, including repetitive use of hands; prolonged sitting, standing, and walking; bending and twisting; and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Experience in a production environment with demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Comfortable using basic office equipment, such as a telephone, computer, fax machine, and adding machine.
- Strong attention to detail, with good problem-solving abilities, and the capability to interpret information accurately.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age, pass a criminal background check, and undergo a drug screening.
