Job Title: Mailroom Clerk
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: 3 months
Weekly Hours: Full time, Monday through Friday
Location: NYC (fully in office position)
Job Information:
- Sort and distribute all incoming packages from UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, and couriers.
- Schedule messenger runs.
- Scan all incoming packages using Pitney Bowes tracking software.
- Answer mailroom extension and assist employees with inquiries.
- Manage the inventory of shipping supplies.
- Handle outgoing packages.
- Communicate daily tracking numbers to business partners.
- Use FedEx software to ship out packages.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask and perform various duties such as delivering mail, collecting mail, and answering questions.
- Must be organized, with the ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and problem-solve to provide high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reordering supplies as necessary.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of end users, vendors, and tradesmen, while keeping the office facilities team informed.
- Extremely detail-oriented and able to work well under deadline pressure.
- Prior administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to or from a mail cart.
- Frequently required to lift and climb a tradesman’s ladder.
