Job Description
Currently seeking a skilled Machinist for our client in Memphis, TN.
This dynamic role involves operating CNC and manual machinery to manufacture medical components from raw materials within a collaborative team environment.
The successful candidate must possess the ability to perform complex setups and adhere to safety, cleanliness, and company policies.
This position operates under minimal supervision and offers weekly pay and benefits.
Essential Job Functions
Machine medical components, conducting complex setups, and operating CNC and manual metal fabricating equipment, including turning, milling, grinding, drilling, tapping, EDM, and honing. Operate multiple machines simultaneously. Participate actively in product/process improvement and development. Set up and operate various inspection instruments. Provide technical support to other machinists. Read and understand blueprints.
Complete documentation to comply with S.N.E. policies, Quality Manual, FDA QSR, and various standards and regulations. Follow company policies and procedures, including labor transactions and bar code scanning.
Work collaboratively in a team environment, utilizing communication and listening skills to contribute to continuous improvement in products and processes.
Ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and company products. Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and job hazard assessments. Perform simple maintenance as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Position Responsibilities
For Internal and External Relationships Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and team members.
Requirements
Must be able to read write English and have basic math skills.
Knowledgeable in the operation of hand finishing medical components.
Education
High School education or equivalent required. Vocational school preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in machining moderate to highly complex components.
1 plus years of experience with CNC milling, turning, grinding, and EDM machines.
Experience with CAD CAM and basic shop math computations, including geometry and trigonometry.
CNC Machining Certificate or equivalent experience required.
