Machinist I Direct Hire - azimuth

Are you an experienced machinist looking for an exciting new opportunity? This full-time, Direct-Hire Manual Machinist position with world-leading innovator in the development and manufacturing of super abrasive grinding wheels and tools in Elgin, IL could be the perfect fit for you.

Their products shape the world around us every day – providing grinding, cutting, drilling, and polishing solutions for a wide variety of industrial materials. By joining their team, you'll operate lathes, mills, grinding equipment, and measuring tools, ensuring precision and quality in all crafted parts. 

Job Duties:

• Read blueprints and perform set-ups.
• Make fixtures on manual machinery.
• Troubleshoot machinery when there is a process issue.
• Produce parts with hand tools to exact specifications.
• Complete finishing operations and quality inspections for our products.
• Follow all company safety policies and practices.

Schedule:

• Shift:1st (6am-2:30 M-F)

Pay: $22/hour - $30/hour

Requirements:

• At least two years of prior experience with manual and CNC lathes, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use inspection equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform set-ups.
• Strong attention to detail and quality, with effective communication skills.
• Must be a motivated self-starter, able to work independently, and willing to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
