We are seeking an Experienced Machinist for a company in Haughton, LA. Previous welding experience is a huge plus (but is not required)!

Pay: $20.25hr-$27.25hr DOE

**POSITION SUMMARY:**

To machine, inspect, and produce manufactured products per operating procedures and instructions.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Perform complex manual machining
Understand and operate machines, tooling, and measuring equipment properly and safely
Read/understand basic blueprints
Basic math skills
Effective communication skills and ability to work as a team with coworkers
Follow written and verbal instructions
Work independently with help as needed
Regular attendance is essential

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Able to use specialized equipment including manual machines and measuring tools
5-10 years experience in manual machining
Basic product knowledge and programming skills
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment regularly.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE, including but not limited to: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and other equipment regularly.
Ability to lift/move up to 50-100 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand for 8 or more hours daily/regularly.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this position, the technician is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and electrical equipment in both high and low voltage/amperage ranges, and occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally high.
