Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Run, operate, and program NC Mills
Programming and setting up of G-code or conversational tasks.
Assemble/Disassemble and repair of machines and equipment parts.
Find the right speeds and feeds for varied materials and tools.
Ability to Read and interpret standard and metric blueprints, including GD&T
Use of machine shop tools (micrometers, calipers, depth mics, scales, tapes) to inspect your work.
Follow safety procedures, protocols, and regulations.
Document and communicate with other shift staff to ensure continuity.
Ability to adapt in changing environments and meet deadlines.
Be able to check own parts, using machine shop measuring instruments (OD/ID mics, calipers, depth mics, scales, tape measure)
Job Requirements:
5 years experience working with manual lathes, mills, and grinders and shop equipment.
Must have at least 5 years experience with manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
A technical degree in Machine Shop is preferred.
Experience with programming software (Esprit, Mastercam, etc.) is a plus.
Be proficient in basic math and geometry.
Experience in fabrication, assembly, and CNC equipment.
proficient in G-code or conversational programming.
Candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Applicants must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
Know speeds and feeds of different types of materials and tooling.
Be proficient in reading standard and metric blueprints along with knowing GD&T.
Applicants will be required to move from one machine or job assignment to another when the workload shifts.
