Experienced Machinist with CAD/CAM Programming Expertise for Custom Fabrication and Additive Manufacturing
Location: Gilbert, Arizona
Salary: $60,000–$85,000 per year
Our client is an innovative and growing custom manufacturing, prototyping, and repair facility specializing in unique, low-volume, high-impact products across multiple industries, including aerospace, defense, consumer products, and entertainment. We support projects from concept to finished product, with a focus on quality and creativity.
We’re looking for an experienced Machinist with strong CAD/CAM programming skills to join our Custom Fabrication and Additive Manufacturing team. Position Summary
The successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for metal and sheet fabrication, machined and additive manufacturing parts, and custom project development. You’ll be instrumental in turning ideas into precise, functional products, supporting Praxis’s assembly and manufacturing teams with a range of custom projects in low-volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Programming & Machining
- Develop CNC programs using Mastercam for diverse machining processes.
- Toolpath Optimization
- Create efficient toolpaths for precise, accurate part production.
- Collaborative Design Translation
- Work with our team to bring design specifications to life through functional, high-quality parts.
- Prototype Development
- Support first-run setups and processing, emphasizing rapid, quality production for custom prototypes.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates should have hands-on experience or working knowledge in:
- CNC Milling and Machining
- Laser Cutting, Welding, and Marking
- Sheet Metal Fabrication (bending, forming)
- 3D Printing across various formats
- CAD Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SketchUp)
- Machining Software (Mastercam, SolidWorks)
- Innovative Product Design and prototyping
