Machinist Estimator - A-1 Jay's Machining Inc.

A-1 Jays Machining, Inc. is looking to hire a full time Estimator that specializes in producing quotes in a machine shop environment. The ideal candidate will have an expansive knowledge of quoting parts for: 3 axis, 5 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Wire EDM, Lapping, Sheetmetal, and Grinding. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist would make an ideal candidate for this position.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing required documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
• Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the quote
• Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
• Managing bids from vendors and contractors
• Using bid data to prepare a detailed quote

Requirements

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Flexible, ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Microsoft Office, Word and Excel experience a plus
• Job Boss familiarity
• Machinist background (min. 5 years of experience)
• Ability to quote parts for the following sectors: 3 axis, 5 axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Wire EDM, Lapping, and Grinding
