As a Machinist, you will be a part of an innovative and dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and production of a wide range of engineering products. You will work with a variety of machinery and tools, including CNC machines, micrometers, verniers, and gauges. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on challenges, is passionate about precision, and has a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Interpret and implement blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to set up and operate CNC machines.
2. Measure, examine, and test completed units using micrometers, verniers, and gauges to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
3. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
4. Maintain and repair machinery as needed to ensure optimal performance.
5. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining problems.
6. Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
7. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Stay abreast of new machining technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist in the Engineering industry.
2. Proven experience with CNC machines, micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work with precision.
6. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
9. A continuous learner who stays updated on new machining technologies and techniques.
