JOB TITLE/LOCATION:
Machinist/Assembler – Baldwin Park, CA 2nd Shift
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Properly select or create work-holding and tooling that would be necessary to perform work on parts, as required.
- Assemble multiple bearing components to make an assembly. This might be performed manually or mechanically aided (arbor or pneumatic press).
- Setup and operate manual lathes and mills to fabricate parts per engineering routing instructions, blueprints or sketches.
- Utilize high-pressure presses, along with dies, to create bearing assemblies of various materials. This might be between two (or more) components or a bearing assembly and a rod end.
- Deburr and or polish bearing assemblies and bearing components of different materials, by utilizing hand-held rotary tools, bench grinders, lathes, etc.
- Utilize various precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, dial bore gages, comparators, height gages, etc. to ensure product conforms to routing instructions and blueprints.

EDUCATION:
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of related experience
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must be able to read engineering blueprints and planning.
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required.
- Must be well organized, works well with others and flexible.
- Broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds
- Perform tool adjustment as required.
- Work with Engineering to make tooling.
- Able to use inspections instruments
- to inspect parts.
- Perform ancillary activities and other duties as assigned.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.
