About the Job
-Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order -Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift -Feed information akin to speed, shapes and sizes through the machine set up box -Place parts in semi automated machines -Calibrate machines at the beginning of each shift -Recalibrate machines at the end of each shift -Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running -Troubleshoot problems during machine operation -Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out -Perform random tests to ensure accuracy -Perform safety checks on every machine -Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output -Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available at all times -Create and maintain activity logs -Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
Quals--
-Communication Skills: Good verbal and written English skills with a minimum 80% proficiency. -Technical Skills: Must be able to solve mathematical problems at the high school level -Have basic hand tool skills -Able to use a measuring device such as tape measure -Ability to read drawing specifications and tolerances -Minimum Experience Required: 0-2 years; 1+ year in manufacturing role is a plus -Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on continuous basis and 45 lbs.G8 occasionally -Ability to stand for periods of up to 12 hours at a time -Ability to perform repetitive bending and stretching on a daily basis -Must be able to work overtime when needed during the week and weekends -Must have steel Toe Shoes -Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred not required; 1 year of factory related work experience in-lieu of HSD/GED
