We are currently looking for an Aerospace Project Manager/QA Lead for our machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. SFE is looking for an individual that is MOTIVATED and EXCITED about the growing demand in the Aerospace / Space Industry.
Daily job duties would include but not limited to the following:
We are currently looking for an Aerospace Project Manager/QA Lead for our machine shop in Santa Fe Springs, CA. SFE is looking for an individual that is MOTIVATED and EXCITED about the growing demand in the Aerospace / Space Industry.
Daily job duties would include but not limited to the following:
- Perform planning (materials, outside processing, machining) on all jobs according to AS9100 standard and customer requirements.
- Manage large projects from the planning stage thru production and customer source inspection
- Discuss projects with customers on a variety of issues (print revisions, design changes, etc.)
- Assemble jobs that are completed and prepare to ship to customer.
- Create outside processing purchase orders to vendors (Anodizing, engraving, waterjet, etc.)
- Create waterjet / flame cut geometry to send to vendors based on customer requirements.
- Create CAD models for shop production / inspection as needed
- Design proof load tooling to customer specifications using CAD software
- Lead customer proof load source inspections
- Aid quality thru inspection and customer source inspections (Faro Arm / Polyworks)
- At least 4 years' experience in the Aerospace manufacturing industry
- At least 4 years' experience with CAD software
- Understanding of AS9100 standard
- Excellent blueprint reading and analyzing skills (GD&T, etc.)
- Proficient math skills
- Must have experience working in a shop using hand tools
- Able to work on multiple tasks at once with good time management skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft word / excel
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to think quickly thru problems
- Strong communication skills
