About the Job
1ST Shift: MONDAY-FRIDAY 6AM-2:30PM with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs.
JOB SUMMARY:
To operate, set-up and adjust various NC/CNC lathes and/or machining centers to produce parts to the required tolerances with the assistance from a Machinist or Lead person. And will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to the Machinist classification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and produce parts from the information obtained within required tolerances. MUST PASS BLUEPRINT TEST.
Responsible for the quality of the parts produced, performing first-piece inspections and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
Take care of routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and neat.
Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.
INCENTIVE BONUS:
$200 incentive bonus after 30 days.
$200 incentive bonus after 90 days.
To qualify:
The associate must have NO more than 3 tardies or early leave instances. Requests for time off will be reviewed and considered.
No Call/No Show will AUTOMATICALLY disqualify the associate from the incentive bonus. Possess and be able to use micrometers and dial calipers to ensure the quality of the parts produced. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform job functions.
Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs frequently.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly. Possess and be able to use micrometers and dial calipers to ensure the quality of the parts produced. Must be equipped with all required tools to perform job functions.
Physical ability to perform work requiring frequent standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs frequently.
