Machine Shop Operator I 1st Shift Mayville - Apidel Technologies

1ST Shift:

MONDAY-FRIDAY 6AM-2:30PM with mandatory OT that canextend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturdayas needed to meet production needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

To operate, set-up and adjust various NC/CNC lathesand/or machining centers to produce parts to the required tolerances with theassistance from a Machinist or Lead person. And will have the opportunity toacquire the skills necessary to advance to the Machinist classification.

Candidates without CNC Lathe experience will not beconsidered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to read and understand blueprints andproduce parts from the information obtained from the blueprints within requiredtolerances.

MUST PASS BLUEPRINT TEST

Responsible for the quality of the parts they produce andperform first-piece inspection, as well as subsequent inspections, to ensureoverall quality. Responsible for taking care of routine maintenance and keepingthe work area clean and neat.Follow all safety rules regarding machineoperation and proper guarding.Maintain simple reports on productivity, qualityand safety.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess and be able to use micrometers and dial calipersto ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with allrequired tools to perform the functions of their job.

Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standingand bending, as well as lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently.Sufficient reading andwriting ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple productionreports.Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operatemachines and inspect parts.

Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipmentproperly.

INCENTIVE BONUS

$200 incentive bonus after 30 days/$200 incentive bonusafter 90 days

To qualify, the associate must have NO MORE than 3tardies/leave earlies.

Requests for time-off will be reviewed and considered.

No Call/No Show will AUTOMATICALLY disqualify theassociate from the incentive bonus.
