We are looking for a talented Machine Repair Technician to join our team in helping us achieve our vision of serving our clients and supporting each other. Description: Machine Repair Technician
Reports to: Tool Room/Shipping & Receiving Manager
Machine Repair Technician Job Purpose: Contributes to net operating profit by assisting in the comprehensive tool inventory supplies and controls. Ensures sufficient and appropriate tools are on hand for shop personnel and that necessary tools and consumables are assembled accurately according to need.
Machine Repair Technician Duties:
- Works closely with Inventory and Shipping & Receiving personnel.
- Maintains a well organized tool room with tools organized by category.
- Maintains a well organized warehouse with materials organized.
- All tools to be cataloged using current company inventory control methods.
- Current tool inventory to be catalogued using current inventory control tracking process.
- Checks out tools to shop personnel and updates inventory control logs accordingly.
- Assembles Tool Boxes for shipping all necessary tools and consumables as specified by Job Site Project Managers/Leaders and updates necessary inventory control logs.
- Prepares shipping manifest containing detailing items being shipped, job information, Project Manager/Lead. Coordinates with Shipping Department to ensure that Tool Boxes are shipped with related job materials.
- Submits to Tool Room/Shipping & Receiving Manager purchase requests for tool and consumable replacements as minimum inventory levels are reached, to ensure that adequate tool / consumable levels are maintained.
- Incoming tool/consumable shipments are to be logged into the inventory control system at time of arrival and promptly shelved by product category within Tool Room.
- Conducts monthly audit of Tool Room inventory to ensure that physical audit matches inventory control logs.
- Participates in weekly Tool Room/Shipping & Receiving meetings and must be prepared to provide general updates related to job as needed.
- Completes any other assigned tasks as needed.
- Must be able to complete and pass a drug screening and random testing.
- Must be able to complete and pass a physical.
Skills/Qualifications:
Spanish speaking bi-lingual skills are required.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Must have basic working knowledge of various shop tools and HVAC related materials.
Must be energetic and willing to learn.
The ability to function well as part of a team.
Must be flexible for occasional overtime to include weekends when necessary.

Job Overview

This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to improve machine performance and reliability.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills
- Proficient in using an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred but not required.
