MACHINE OPERATOR - Sonny's Enterprises LLC

The purpose of the Machine Operator position is to aid in the manufacture of components and subassemblies within the machine shop by using pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and machine tools. The Machine Operator reads blueprints and uses measurement devices (caliper, micrometer, and tape measure) to ensure that parts comply to the blueprint, which will allow successful assembly of the final product at the customer’s site.

• Familiar with calipers, micrometers and other measurement instruments to perform accurate measurements to part specifications.
• Operates, loads, and unloads CNC mills, lathes, saws, and conventional machines
• Deburrs parts with belt sander, drill press, or bench grinder
• Must read blueprints and QC own parts.
• Uses blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product
• Assembles parts into sub-units or complete units as required
• Has authority and responsibility to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected
• Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices with adherence to PPE requirements
• Can follow written and verbal details to complete assignments
• Understands and adheres to company 5S standards
• Understands and adheres to employee handbook standards
• Can accurately record labor times and adhere to productivity standards
• Can compute, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of fractions and decimals
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
• Work with management team to communicate all problems or ideas for improvement
• Supports and participates in continuous improvement programs
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

• Entry Level – No Experience needed, skills will be taught as required.
• High School Diploma/GED required
