Machine Operator, ISC, Union, hourly
DESCRIPTION:
Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will monitor production output and ensure that products meet customer specifications and quality expectations. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, set up and monitor the production of parts and continuous process improvement at the site to address safety, production, and adherence to quality.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrated ability to follow direction and read blueprints.
Set up and operate machines to start production cycle, including calibration, tolerances.
Set up and change over equipment tooling and dies.
Write and interpret CNC programs when needed.
Ability to analyze information and concepts.
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
Periodically test and troubleshoot machine operation and output.
Maintain work area for cleanliness.
Adherence to all safety and plant rules.
Record and report production data.
Utilize tape measures, calipers, squares, micrometers, and protractors.
General maintenance of tools and equipment.
Safe operation of the forklift and all other lift assist and tools.
Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU MUST HAVE
Technical education is a plus.
Computer literacy.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling pushing, climbing and lifting at least 40 pounds.
WE VALUE
3 years of experience in metal processing and machine operation. (Class 1)
1 year experience in metal processing and machine operation. (Class 2)
Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools. HAAS, MAZAK, and Manual Mill, MAZAK lathe, Trumpf lasers and press brake experience is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
An Ability to collaborate with others and work independently.
An ability to communicate information clearly.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
