A leading manufacturer of gaskets, industrial seals, and compression-molded plastics is looking for a Machine Operator to manage the setup and operation of CNC machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate is a proficient problem-solver with a solid understanding of CNC operations. Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the new team member will support the department's and company's objectives by delivering high-quality products that meet specified requirements and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that necessary machine accessories are installed and calibrated.
- Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.
- Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
- Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Set up and operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on plastic workpieces.
- Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
- Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
- Confer with supervisors or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors or to obtain approval to continue production.
- Report true run times onto router paperwork.
- Ensure that work areas are clean and maintain an organized workspace.
- Comply with all safety requirements set by the company.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
