Machine Operator I - Acuren Inspection, Inc.

The successful candidate will have the ability to perform multiple tasks in the preparation of Mechanical and Metallographic test samples. 

• Cutting various steel samples to precise sizes using hydraulic bandsaws.
• Work in a safe and cautious manner, respecting moving equipment and identifying and mitigating all potential hazards.
• Cut and prepare samples exactly as instructed from other qualified personnel including engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure machined samples are de-burred with all sharp edges removed, and are identified with accurate markings including sample ID, job number, and reference information as per quality assurance program.
• Assist in the coordination of work flow through the department and scheduling to meet client needs.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work space daily.
• Perform other duties as may be required from time to time.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical specifications and drawings.
• Previous experience in a machine shop setting using both manual and automated machinery.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent English communication skills including correct basic grammar, spelling, punctuation.
• Ability to safely carry out oral and written work instructions.
• Position requires sitting, standing at equipment, limited lifting (max lift 50 lbs) and walking.
