- Hours: 6 am to 6 pm
- Pay: $18
- Monday to Friday Saturday availability
SUMMARY:
- This position is primarily responsible for operating machines, such as those to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.
- Must be able to troubleshoot, maintain, fabricate, support, and assist maintenance employees with repairs to production floor equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Loads ingredients into mixing machine hopper from conveyor, scales, or handtrucks, or directs other workers in performing this task.
- Starts machine and adjusts valves to admit steam or cooling fluids to steam jacket or devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.
- Operates machine and monitors assembly machine controls
- Ensure assembly machines are functioning properly and make required adjustments if the equipment malfunctions.
- Inspect products for measurement and quality and separate defective products.
- Maintain a safe and clean production area.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2-3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years’ experience preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
- Ability to perform these operations using of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.
- The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather); working near moving mechanical parts; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather), and moderate to loud noise levels.
