Volt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in Compton, California
As a Machine Operator you will:
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
- Control and adjust machine settings.
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
- Test operation of machines periodically.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Check output to spot and machine related mistakes or flaws.
- Keep all the necessary records of approved and defective units or final products.
- Maintain all the necessary activity log(s) and required documentation per assigned frequency.
- Adheres to safety guidelines to ensure that all final products meet high-quality standards. GMP’s.
- Recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Ensures that the machine he/she is operating remains in good working order, is operating at full capacity and is kept stocked with any materials it may need to perform its task.
- Assists production lead, room coordinator or supervisor as needed.
- Participate fully in meetings/huddles, trainings and team building events.
- Adhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company’s goals and sharing knowledge.
- Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Food Manufacturing background as a machine operator
- 2+ years operating experience in Food Manufacturing
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus +
- High school Diploma and or GED, or 5+ years of related working experience
