About the Job
General Purpose:
Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of manufacturing machinery as well as related equipment and infrastructure.
Shift(s) available:
- 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) Monday through Friday.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Utilizes extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems to diagnose and repair faulty equipment, parts, and systems.
- Able to use dial indicators, accuracy gauges, and other precision measuring tools to ensure proper function of machine components. Able to make corrections and adjustments as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment including routine cleaning, minor repairs, and inspections.
- Complete installation and removal including improvements and modifications as required or assigned
- Program and monitor test equipment and data loggers
- Inspect and test machinery to ensure proper function according to specifications
- Record and document all work using CMMS and related systems, keeping accurate maintenance and repair logs
- Informs production leadership of maintenance and repair activities on all equipment using established procedures
- Able to schedule planned down time with production supervision
- Monitors and recommends spare parts inventory
- Keeping track of numerous responsibilities at once.
- Pays close attention to detail from start to finish
- Performs all activities with Safety and Quality as standard procedure
- Flexible on schedule and workload, willing and eager to learn new things
- Self-starter that can work alone with minimal supervision and follow instructions
- Display above average problem-solving skills

Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent |
Minimum 7 years of related experience or combination of training and experience |
Experienced in DC / AC repair and troubleshooting, reading of machine prints – electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC (Siemens), HMI, Profibus, industrial communications |
Experienced in electrical and mechanical machine repair (plastic/metal injection molding, CNC milling 3&5 axis, CNC turning machines etc.) |
Experience with process machinery, heating, cooling, gas metering, vacuum, valves and electronic controls. Examples furnaces, heat treatment, chemical washing |
Fanuc robot maintenance and repair is a plus |
Exceptional mechanical ability with advanced tool shop knowledge using lathe, mill, drill press, welding and fabrication. |
Must have good mathematics skills and good knowledge of the metric system |

Works with and around greases, oils, coolants, and cleaning solutions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift or move parts with an approximate weight up to a maximum weight of 50 lbs. Work requires bending, stooping, kneeling, ladder climbing, and working in small cramped areas. Personal protective equipment is required and provided. Must be able to walk in excess of 10,000 steps per day
Work Environment:
The work environment is normally a climate controlled industrial manufacturing space. The manufacturing environment can vary, outdoor work can be required. Hot, cold, wind and rain can all be expected. Work could be greasy, slippery, wet, and dusty. Must be able and willing to work outdoors in the elements when required. Sharp loud noises are possible. Able to work at heights in personal lifts and drive a forklift.
Position Type:
This is a full-time shift position. Maintenance covers three production shifts. Must be willing and able to change shifts, work weekends and overtime as required.
