Position Overview
Adobe is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who will participate in various stages of the machine learning pipeline, including data collection, cleaning, preparation, model training and fine-tuning, and evaluation. Your expertise in various machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques will be critical as you optimize models for performance, scalability, and efficiency. You’ll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing best practices for model development, deployment pipelines, and system integration. This role requires not only a deep technical background but also strong leadership and collaboration skills, as you will work closely with other departments to deliver state-of-the-art solutions.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of Machine Learning technologies for text, image, audio, and video, with a focus on Generative AI.
- Work closely with engineers, researchers, and product managers to implement ML solutions for our Adobe products.
- Add culturally relevant new features directly to products to delight international customers.
- Promote new globalization ML technologies to product teams and implement them directly into products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning engineers, research engineers, and product management, to contribute to new ML features.
- Be comfortable building models leveraging large data.
- Preprocess, clean, organize, and evaluate datasets as needed for model training and evaluation.
- Evaluate model performance and improve accuracy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest machine learning and AI technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the team and advocating for new tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, helping them improve their skills and grow professionally.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for data processing, model development, testing, and integration ensuring clear communication across teams and stakeholders.
What You Need to Succeed
- MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or equivalent.
- Experience with Python and PyTorch.
- Experience with machine learning and/or deep learning methods.
- Knowledge and experience with the entire ML training pipeline (data collection, training, and evaluation).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, quick learner, independent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in GenAI (LLMs and Diffusion model).
- Experience in building generative and conversational AI solutions.
- Experience with GPU optimization.
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $120,700 -- $228,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
