Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Machinist Apprentice. As a Machinist Apprentice, you will work closely with experienced machinists and learn the skills necessary to become a proficient machinist yourself. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about machines and eager to build a successful career in this field. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of how to operate grinders, machinery, and other equipment.
- Ability to take precise measurements and make calculations.
- Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise
- Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects.
- Developing plans of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.
- Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to move roughly 50-75lbs.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce workplace accidents.
- Analytical and problem – solving skills to develop effective manufacturing processes.
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Proficient in math.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
