About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate to join our client's team at their duty-free store located inside Executive Airport in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail sales, a passion for providing excellent customer service, and familiarity with retail software such as Excel, iVend, and SAP. Experience with customs procedures is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers to the store and provide exceptional sales service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Assess customers’ needs, provide information on product features, and offer product demonstrations and recommendations.
- Process POS (point-of-sale) transactions accurately, including handling returns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring merchandise is presented in a neat and visually appealing manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and store goals.
- Actively seek out customers in the store, cross-sell products, and upsell to drive sales.
- Build productive trust relationships with customers and handle inquiries and complaints efficiently.
- Participate in inventory management, including receiving and checking merchandise deliveries, and ensuring the accuracy of inventory/stock.
- Work with the Buying team for stock replenishment and the Marketing team for promotions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and airport regulations, including assisting with customs procedures as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service at least 2 years.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on personalized service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; (experience with iVend and SAP is a plus).
- Experience with customs procedures is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- A friendly and energetic personality with a customer service focus.
- High-End Retail Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-end retail environment, preferably within luxury goods, fashion, or similar industries.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish.
- Ability to clear a background check.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to be at work on time each day of your schedule, with the ability to pick up additional shifts as needed.
- Hands-on experience with POS transactions.
- Familiarity with inventory procedures.
- Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
