St. Joseph’s Villa and Court are not for profit licensed facilities located in David City, Nebraska. St. Joseph’s Villa offers quality skilled nursing care to residents.
The Court is an assisted living facility for seniors who want help with a few daily activities, but value their independence.
Location Group Notes
Dress Code: Any color of professional scrubs are permitted. Scrubs cannot display logos or names of other employers/facilities.
Tattoos are permitted as long as they are tasteful and not distracting
Piercings: Stud in nose is acceptable, but nothing bigger
Natural hair colors are required, no vibrant colors, please.
Artificial Nails: Permitted as long as long as they are not too long.
Parking: Day shift may park on the East, North, or South side of the building as long as they do not parking in Visitor Parking; Night shift may park anywhere, including Visitor Parking.
Housing Options: Apartments available in David City, campground available for RVs. Hotels are available in Columbus, Schuyler, or Seward. Staying at the motel in David City is not recommended.
Department Notes
Facility has two hallways - St. Maria and St. Frances that house LTC residents. Each hallway has it’s own bath house and bath aide. Also have St. Theresa’s Garden that is Memory Support (Average of 8 residents). There is a mixture of single and double rooms throughout the building. St. Joseph’s Villa has an average resident census of 37-42 residents.
Computer Charting: American Health Tech (similar to Point Click Care) and there is a kiosk located in every hallway.
Orientation: Every Wednesday, 10:00am-3:00pm. Will complete paperwork, meet with Safety Coordinator, Director of Nursing, and Scheduler. The traveler may start orientation to the floor that same day depending on if someone is available to orient them.

Specialty Profile Notes
Minimum of 2 years experience as RN working in LTC setting required.
Licensed as RN in State of Nebraska (or Compact) and BLS issued through American Heart Association are required.
Shifts: 12 hour days or nights - 6:00am-6:30pm or 6:00pm-6:30pm. Will work a rotating block schedule with 3 days one week and 4 days the next week, which will include working every other weekend. Schedule is posted two weeks at at time.
Medications: Cassettes that are changed over every Thursday night. Travelers working on night shift will help with medication change over. They have occasional residents that may be on IV fluids.
Day ratio: 1 RN/LPN on each hallway, will share St. Theresa’s Garden (Memory Support); 1 CNA on each hallway and bath aide, 1 CNA in St. Theresa’s Garden.
Night ratio: 1 RN/LPN for entire facility, with Med Aide working from 6:00pm-10:00pm, as well as 2 CNAs. There is a Med Aide for St. Theresa’s Garden.
