Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care to patients in a variety of healthcare settings. The LPN will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Physicians, assisting with patient care, medication administration, and daily clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with daily activities.
Perform routine clinical tasks such as dressing wounds, inserting catheters, and collecting lab samples.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate patient records and document all care provided.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
Ensure patient safety by following infection control protocols and maintaining a clean environment.
Assist physicians and RNs with medical procedures as needed.
Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate medical staff.
Qualifications:
Active LPN license in South Dakota.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Strong clinical and patient care skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of healthcare safety standards and infection control protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or clinical setting.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
