Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current LPN or RN license valid within the state of Idaho (GN temporary license accepted). Must have current certification for CPR, BLS, PALS, and ACLS. Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (within 6 months of hire). STABLE course must be taken within six (6) months of hire. Complete NICU orientation competency during new hire orientation, and thereafter complete yearly ongoing competency. Must be aware of all policies and procedures for the CCN, L&D, and Post Partum.
Experience: Previous CCN experience preferred.
Equipment/Technology: Basic computer skills. Able to use IV pumps, radiant warmer, isolette, knowledgeable use of UVC, VAC, chest tubes, etc.
Language/Communication: Excellent communication skills and leadership capability.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundaments of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate drug doses.
Mental Capabilities: Poses critical thinking skills and organization. Ability to prioritize patient care for safety and optimal outcome.
Interpersonal Processes: Leadership abilities, able to take constructive criticism.
