Patient Care:
* Performs basic laboratory, radiology, and/or nursing procedures as directed and within scope of practice.
* Assist Physician/Nurse Practitioner as directed.
Equipment maintenance:
* Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laboratory/radiological equipment.
Recordkeeping/Documentation:
* Accurately and efficiently reports/documents patient care/status/information in medical record.
Customer Service:
* Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
* Responsible for maintaining supplies necessary for quality patient care.
Education:
* Participate in performance improvement activities (EXCEL)
Regulatory:
* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC and Departmental Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
* Complies with applicable State/Federal regulations/laws/policies/procedures/guidelines.
Job Knowledge:
* High School Diploma or equivalent; required
* Certified or Licensed as LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse), MLT (Medical Laboratory Tech), Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse or Radiological Tech , RT (Respiratory Therapy) with completion of program and appropriate education
* Minimum of 1-year medical office or healthcare experience with laboratory/radiology training; required.
* Must maintain CPR Certification (American Heart Association-AHA); required.
* Good written and verbal communication skills; required.
* Excellent organizational skills; required.
Working knowledge of basic computers and computer software; required.
