Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises.
• Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated.
• Educates patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients.
• Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Conducts age-appropriate psycho-educational groups Administers medications, monitors for side effects and efficacy

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Must be a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• BLS required.
• Must have an active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois and in good standing.
