What we need:
We're looking for someone with 5+ years of Low Voltage field and estimation experience to help quote, estimate, and plan to completion our Low Voltage projects--mostly security camera installation, door access systems, and network cabling installation. Applicants should be highly familiar with the world of low-voltage subcontracting and estimating. Familiarity with the quoting features within SalesForce is a big plus.
What you'll do:
- Conduct initial walk-through of potential worksite along with sales executive, learning more about what the project will entail
- Identify any obstacles, hazards, or quirks during the walkthrough that could affect the job
- Calculates the costs of labor, materials, and other project-related expenses and ensures estimates reflect current market conditions and pricing as building the quote
- Stays updated on industry trends, pricing, and new technologies to ensure quoting estimates are competitive and reflect current standards
- Offer a realistic timeline to completion so that sales can communicate with the customer
- Provide to sales team detailed communication on the progress of jobs, as well as any changes on when jobs are expected to be completed or roadblocks that will need to be remedied before jobs are completed
- Customer relationship management (CRM) activities and tasking as assigned
- Successfully resolve any customer conflicts, ensuring that, at the end of the project, customers speak highly of our skill and professionalism and think of us first for future cabling jobs
- Working alongside cabling team members on sites as needed
Details/additional requirements:
- Full-time, 8-5 Monday through Friday in our South Salt Lake office with occasional weekend and after-hours availability needed
- Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
- Occasionally able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- This job requires walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% or as needed. (will be required to walk job sites and may be required to work on jobsites if necessary.)
