About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. In this position you will have a range of responsibilities supporting the Account Executive in preparation of the sales estimate. The person needs to be very detailed and organized, and ideally have experience with a low voltage contractor in commercial construction or an Architectural or Engineering firm.
Pay Range: $60,000.00-$75,000.00/YR
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple Account Executives on multiple projects to prepare takeoffs and labor and material estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Develop accurate detailed estimates of material amounts and cost of labor to complete the installation of various low voltage systems including fire alarm, access control, video, intrusion, structured cable, and 2-way communication systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, floor plans, wiring diagrams and specifications.
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings
- Knowledge with IFC, IBC, and NFPA.
- High degree of self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, success driven, have strong organizational skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
