Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior staff members and overseeing low voltage engineering processes throughout project phases. Job Details
Requirements for this role entail:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Possession of a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification
- Preferred registration as a Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Eagerness to acquire new knowledge
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Dedication to providing exceptional designs for every client
- Understanding that success hinges on effective communication, collaboration, and coordination
- Willingness to participate in job site walks and attend client and user meetings
- Proficiency in setting up floor plan backgrounds using CAD and Revit
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Designing infrastructure, camera, door access, wireless, and nurse call systems
- Developing layouts for data rooms, including racks and cable trays
- Sizing conduit and coordinating with utility companies
- Planning data drops and access points
- Specifying cable types
- Coordinating with architectural elevations, MEP, and civil disciplines
