Logistics Warehouse Associate at CareerBuilder Premium Subscription

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately staging and shipping products while maintaining detailed records of outgoing shipments. This role involves preparing items for shipment and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety and operational standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and verify item counts, weights, or measurements against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determine appropriate methods of shipment and prepare associated paperwork, including shipping documents, customer labels, MSDS, kosher markings, and DOT compliance forms.
• Secure shipments by shrink-wrapping skids and preparing freight for loading onto trucks.
• Attach shipping labels to cartons or stencil identifying information onto packages.
• Verify labels, attach packing slips, and label hazardous materials as required before loading.
• Ensure compliance with DOT certification requirements for hazardous materials in air, ocean, and ground transportation.
• Input orders into UPS or similar shipping systems.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, GMPs, HACCP standards, and other operational guidelines, including the use of wheel chocks.
• Stack cartons on skids and insert items into containers as needed.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Maintain an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate forklifts or hand trucks to transport shipments within the warehouse.
