Job description:We are looking for Logistics Supervisor who is responsible for the total worldwide delivery process of products. The incumbent will manage export and all traffic compliance functions including documentation and regulatory. The Logistics Supervisor will also manage shipment processes quickly and efficiently in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment, including all packing/shipping activities.
The ideal candidate will:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Manage export and all traffic compliance functions (documentation, regulatory)
· Create and process all Export shipment documentation, report AES Filings, including License applications, Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Site drafts, Letters of Credit, packing slips, etc. to ensure accurate, timely delivery and processing of all shipments, while meeting all laws and export compliance.
· Manage shipment processes quickly and efficiently in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment, incluinding all packing/shipping activities.
· Determine/utilize/manage necessary resources to maintain/increase on-time shipments for analyzers and spare parts.
· Analyze shipment requirements and select proper carrier/forwarder to meet all customer order/ LOC requirements.
· Develop and maintain files, documents, and records to support all regulatory audit criteria.
· Review and audit all freight bills and customs entry summaries for proper customs value, for classification accuracy, processing corrections, and meeting compliance.
· Provide timely responses to Customs requests /notices, and all internal requests regarding classification, duty rates, documentation requirements, or other import regulations.
· Develop colleague skills; actively participate in the annual review process, other supervisory duties as required.
· Manage training programs, packing equipment maintenance, and Hazmat regulations to ensure compliance.
· Ownership of Hazardous Goods compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met and therefore ensuring all hazardous goods are handled and shipped in a safe manner.
· Thorough understanding of Incoterms.
· Execute established approved processes/procedures; identify improvement opportunities; reduce expenses where possible.
· Ability to safely maneuver heavy loads within the plant utilizing pallet jacks.
· Maintain a safe working environment; participate in EH&S compliance support.
· Maintain Quality System procedures and work instructions.
· Additional duties assigned by department manager, as required by business needs.
Job Requirements:
· Minimum four (4) years demonstrated experience in Export compliance and regulatory environment. Degree is preferred but could be substituted by experience.
· Working knowledge in AES Processing, EAR Regulations, Product Classifications under EAR (ECCN), Census product classifications (HTSUS, Schedule B), Denied Parties Screening, and other applicable US Export Regulations as necessary
· Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
· Hacardouse Certification, a plus.
