What you'll do:

• Must be able to understand and interpret all the terminology with various Ocean carriers and freight forwarders.
• Must have knowledge of different shipping commodities from different Ocean carriers and their routes , respective SCAC (Standard Carrier Alpha Code) codes for each carrier, in addition to port of discharge according to company requirements.
• Manage and record accurate detail booking forecast reports. Works directly with overseas suppliers and steamship lines to coordinate bookings to accommodate the loading before cut off dates at terminals at ports of origin.
• Manage and coordinates air freight shipments.
• Manage and coordinate co-loads with different overseas suppliers depending on loading port, dimensions or cargo and availability from different carriers.Must be able to fully utilize container space. Works closely with purchasing team.
• In addition to the above, but not limited, work with import documentations, must work with import suppliers. Ensure that suppliers provide accurate required documents in a timely manner.Import documents (C/I, P/L, B/L, A/N) all must be reviewed and processed in a timely manner. Communicate with the broker regarding new shipments and issues if any. Must be able to adapt to company ERP changes.
• Assist supervisor with any export shipments. Follow up with steamship lines/freight forwarders, and broker.
• Complete three-way match of commercial invoice, purchase order, and inventory receipts and provide to accounting for payment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What you'll need:

• Invoice processing/ 3-way match experience
• Must be able to comprehend ocean carrier’s terms and conditions requirements on service contracts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement.
• Requires exceptional follow-up skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with colleagues, ocean carriers and vendors.
• Create accurate weekly booking reports.
• Knowledge of import documentation, including ISF (Importer Security Filing) and AES.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Familiarity with Customs HS codes is necessary.

Pay Data:

Salary Range - $33.00 to $36.00 an hour (non-exempt).

Position is onsite Monday through Friday in our Pico Rivera, CA office. Position does not offer relocation package. No remote work available for this position.
