Overview:
Coordinates Collections staff scheduling for assigned operations. Assumes responsibility for efficient staff scheduling to meet production needs. Collaborates closely with the Donor Recruitment Department and Collections leaders to ensure necessary resources are in place for successful blood collection operations. Maintains a leadership role in preparing for, participating in, and presenting at weekly and monthly team meetings.
Responsibilities:- Responsible for the implementation and oversight of a centralized scheduling system for the Collections Department, including Mobiles and Donor Center.
- Manages the logistical operations of collections scheduling and activities.
- Ensures mobiles and/or Donor Centers are efficiently staffed, considering, but not limited to, required job functions, roles, location, donor flow, appointments, vehicles, and employee preferences.
- Coordinates new hire and incumbent training into global schedule.
- Coordinates the weekly mobile pick up schedule for volunteers and couriers.
- Reviews Collections employee time-off requests for approval/denial based on recruitment and operational needs
- Ensures appropriate equipment is requested.
- Provides prompt, courteous and efficient internal and external customer service.
- Works with outside vendors as needed (for example Hemasphere).
- Promotes customer service and a positive image of CBC to the community.
- Evaluates the Hemasphere calendar for CBC to identify potential issues with blood drives based on historical data evaluation.
- Tracks and analyzes production metrics.
- Makes necessary improvements in efficiency and/or reduction of cost.
- Creates monthly reports regarding production efficiency, staffing levels, and other logistics as needed.
- Forecasts and plans future staffing needs.
- Provides recommendations for efficiencies.
- Collaborates with Donor Recruitment Logistics Specialist to provide mobile set ups in Hemasphere.
Education:
High school diploma
Related Experience:
1+ year in blood banking or similar organization
Experience with logistics such as staff scheduling and production planning
