Logistics Planner - OBXtek Inc.

Responsibilities

This position provides support to the Headquarters, Pacific Air Forces (HQ PACAF) by planning, executing, and conducting recovery operations for exercises and events conducted with allied countries throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Primary work location is in Hawaii and at CONUS and OCONUS training locations. Contingent upon award of contract.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead various workgroups pursuant to OPLAN development and be expected tosupport peers and military superiors in analysis and military decision making.

• Possess functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP) and assist in administration, budget, planning, logistics estimates, concepts of support, and coordination with joint service component commands and subordinate headquarters.

• Provide detailed analysis to integrate those current assets that reside within theater and recommend additional forces as required for operational development.

• Travel to various OCONUS/CONUS locations to support emerging mission requirements.

  Quantify life support requirements and translate these into estimates for submission to engineering planners.

• Support numerous simultaneous requirements and ensure that personnel are available to provide adequate representation to the command during times of high OPSTEMPO.

• Plan/coordinate logistics support for operations and exercises affecting the current and long-range operations.

  Prepares logistics estimates and other products to provide required logistics supply, service, and other life support for OPLAN development.

• Attend, participate in, and support the administration, planning and execution of conferences and exercises in support of JCS and INDOPACOM Operational planning.

• Functional understanding of the JOPES and monitors OPLAN/exercise data requirements necessary to formulate and submit TPFDD information.

• Provide advice, recommendations, and briefings to staff principals, agency chiefs, and external organizations on operations and exercise design activities.

• Assist PACAF/A37 to determine the best possible logistics solutions to support operations to minimize costs and meet required timelines.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications, Experience, and Certifications

• Experience with exercise-planning systems such as JTIMS, ARMS, CAF-SIPT, and/or C2IE is preferred.

• Secret Security Clearance.
• Working knowledge of logistics planning with a minimum of 3 years hands on
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a MAJCOM or higher-level command staff.
• Have strong communication and multitasking skills.
• Have excellent organizational abilities and a self-starting personality.
• Able to work and lead in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
• Have working knowledge of current Microsoft Office applications.
• Have good analytical skills and be able to operate in a demanding environment whileexecuting multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be familiar with the JELC cycles of specific exercises and be able to plan andcoordinate required events in support of the JELC.
• Possess detailed knowledge of all facets of sustainment and its integration todevelop detailed concepts commensurate with presentation at the MAJCOM and COCOM levels.
