We are currently seeking candidates for a Logistics Manager opportunity with a highly successful Manufacturing organization located in New York, NY. The Logistics Manager will spearhead shipping coordination, transport management, stakeholder relations, vendor management, process improvement and optimization, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of logistics management experience and will have international shipping experience.
Location: New York, NY
Work Model: On-site 5 days/week
Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 base (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Shipping Coordination: Oversee the shipping of approximately 250 containers annually from Europe to North America, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Transport Management: Coordinate the movement of equipment, some weighing up to 30,000 lbs., via ground transport to end customers.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication between the factory, freight forwarders, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with international shipping regulations and customs requirements for North American and European countries.
- Logistics Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance delivery performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely availability of products and manage warehouse operations as needed.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate shipping documentation and provide regular reports on logistics performance and KPIs.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
- Vendor Management: Develop and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, transport companies, and other logistics service providers.
- 5-8+ years of experience in logistics management, preferably with international shipping and heavy equipment handling.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated.
