So, what will the Logistics Management Specialist at Terrestris do?
The Logistics Management Specialist is responsible for supporting military mission readiness through the coordination, preparation, and execution of logistics functions related to all phases of military operations. The LMS will work closely with senior leadership to ensure adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) policies and regulations. This individual will have extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge in administrative and logistical functions, including record management, directives, and correspondence, with a preference for Department of the Navy experience. The LMS is expected to perform duties independently, maintain effective communication, and ensure high-quality control across operations.
What does a typical day look like for a Logistics Management Specialist?
The Logistics Management Specialist's day is dynamic. The role involves coordinating mission readiness tasks, ensuring logistics operations are aligned with DoD policies, and managing inventory and supply functions. The LMS communicates with senior leadership and customers to address logistics needs, prepares necessary documentation, and applies regulations to ensure compliance. They use Microsoft Office 365 tools, including SharePoint and Teams, to facilitate collaboration and track progress. Throughout the day, the LMS conducts quality control checks to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, all while working independently and managing multiple priorities.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the person we're looking for if you have:
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in administrative and human resources functions, with a focus on logistics management and mission readiness.
Education: Associate's degree or higher, with preference for certifications or specialized training in logistics or related fields.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint and Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of administrative supply, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
