About the Job
The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods within our manufacturing and distribution center. This position will involve coordinating transportation, managing inventory, and overseeing logistics operations to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling pickups and deliveries with carriers.
· Manage inventory levels and monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supply.
· Oversee logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
· Develop and implement efficient logistics processes and procedures.
· Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency.
· Resolve logistics issues and problems in a timely manner.
· Work closely with other departments, such as production, sales, and purchasing, to ensure smooth operations.
Regularly perform the following physical demands and abilities
· Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill.
· Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
· Should be able to work in a warehouse environment vented with fans without air conditioning.
