Primary Function of Position
The Logistics Coordinator Lead is a position requiring significant experience in logistics operations, strong technical skills, an in-depth knowledge of Intuitive’s systems and software (Agile, SAP, WMS), and proven interpersonal and communication skills. The primary responsibility for this role is to manage logistics functional areas. The job entails becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and training support resource in all logistics processes, as well as the capacity to take on special projects and drive cross-functional operational efficiencies.
Essential Job Duties
This position will fulfill the following roles (If applicable to site):
- Shipping lead verifying and validating outgoing material to ensure accurate documentation, packaging, and labeling is applied according to ISI work instructions.
- Act as logsitics lead in absence of management.
- Ability to define and speak to how and why relevant job function processes are completed.
- Ensure the business unit is always audit ready.
- Assist Logistics Material Handlers and Coordinators to drive productivity and accuracy.
- Responsible for complying with general Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and Warehouse housekeeping processes.
- Proficient at performing systemic transactions in SAP and other ISI applications.
- Be trained and certified to operate advanced material handling equipment. (Stand-up and order picking lift trucks, and/or electric pallet jack, etc).
- Train new personnel or cross-train existing personnel, including all required documentation, record keeping and reporting. Capable of being certified as a deputized trainer.
- Proficient in performing daily audits, producing KPI documentation, and presenting to leadership.
- Previous working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kanban processes.
- Maintain warehouse safety and housekeeping in accordance with 5S principles.
- Communicating verbally and via other communication streams the status of material movements and transactions to appropriate internal & external customers.
- Purposefully participate in the Continuous Improvement program, including the creation and implementation of small-scale improvements.
- Ability to obtain certification across all core curriculums.
Required Skills and Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience at Intuitive, or relevant external experience of minimum 6 to 8 years.
- Experience and/or certification in operating material-handling equipment.
- Experience processing domestic and international freight and parcel shipments.
- Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, and performance guidelines.
- Proficient in Agile and SAP.
- Experience with computer systems & applications (MS Office, etc.).
- Experience training/mentoring other employees.
Required Education and Training
- Possess minimum high school degree/ GED /Secondary Education or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of logistics experience or a minimum of 1 year of manufacturing warehouse/assembly ISI experience.
- Proficient in Agile and SAP.
- Knowledge of Kanban systems and other lean principles.
- Demonstrates ability to diagnose possible root cause failure modes of relevant transactions.
Working Conditions
- Ability to lift material up to 50 lbs.
- Operation of material-handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts), etc.).
- Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders) is required.
- Load & unload trucks as needed via forklift or pallet jacks.
- Wrap, weigh & prepare shipments on skids/pallets.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Demonstrates strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of global logistics operations.
- Prior medical device experience.
- Continuously exhibits CCEE (Character, Capacity, Energy, and Experience).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Ability to work autonomously.

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
