We’re seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team and support the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient freight movement and helping our business grow.

Position Summary:

The Operations Coordinator will play a crucial role in coordinating and executing freight shipments, managing carrier relationships, and providing exceptional support to our clients. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day freight operations, ensuring timely pickups, deliveries, and effective communication with carriers and clients.

• Schedule and track shipments, proactively communicating status updates and resolving issues to ensure on-time delivery.

• Maintain strong relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, and securing capacity for shipments.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation for each load, including bills of lading, invoices, and carrier paperwork.

• Assist in onboarding new carriers, ensuring they meet all company compliance standards.

• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries related to shipments, rates, and service issues.

• Support the sales and dispatch teams by gathering and analyzing relevant data to improve operational efficiencies.

• Monitor shipment costs and work to optimize expenses while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.

• 1-2 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation coordination (preferred but not required).

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
