Position Overview:
We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to join our growing team. The Logistics Associate will play a key role in coordinating the transportation and delivery of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) products, including gloves and vests, to our clients. This individual will ensure that all shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and meet the company's high standards for customer service. The role also includes working closely with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to streamline the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage the logistics of inbound and outbound shipments, including PPE gloves and vests, ensuring timely deliveries to clients.
·Work with third-party logistics providers and carriers to arrange transportation, negotiate rates, and monitor the performance of freight carriers.
·Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to track inventory levels and ensure product availability for client orders. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
·Plan and schedule the pickup and delivery of products to clients, optimizing routes to reduce delivery times and costs.
·Oversee the packing and labeling of PPE products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in the order fulfillment process and compliance with client specifications.
·Monitor the status of shipments using logistics software and ensure that any issues, such as delays or damaged goods, are addressed promptly.
·Serve as the point of contact for vendors, carriers, and clients regarding the status of shipments, delivery schedules, and any logistics concerns.
·Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and reduce costs, while maintaining service quality and customer satisfaction.
·Ensure that all shipments comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and Trendco’s internal policies for transportation and product handling.
·Prepare and maintain detailed reports on logistics activities, including shipment tracking, carrier performance, and cost analysis.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
·1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, preferably in a role involving PPE or similar products.
·Strong analytical abilities to manage transportation schedules, optimize routes, and reduce logistics costs.
·Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple shipments, timelines, and carrier relationships simultaneously.
·Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with carriers, vendors, and internal teams. Must be able to handle logistics inquiries and provide solutions promptly.
·Ability to troubleshoot logistics issues, such as delayed deliveries or damaged goods, and provide quick and effective resolutions.
·Familiarity with logistics software and tools to track shipments and manage delivery schedules.
·High level of accuracy when managing shipments, inventory, and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
·Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and assist with lifting, packing, or moving goods as needed.
