Our client in Lancaster, PA is actively looking for a Traffic/Logistics Admin in their Logistics department for a 12+mo contract position!
2nd shift opening
2nd shift hours: 3pm-11pm
Our client is seeking a dedicated Logistics Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic team in Pennsylvania. This role involves coordinating warehouse activities to ensure efficient operation at minimal cost while maintaining compliance with materials handling procedures, safety, sanitation, inventory, labor, and quality requirements. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely staging and loading of orders by managing the outbound schedule and collaborating with various stakeholders, including the guardhouse, jockey, on-shift supervisors, and hourly operators. This is a day shift position with some flexibility required to cover additional hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate warehouse activities to ensure efficient operation and compliance with materials handling procedures, safety, sanitation, inventory, labor, and quality requirements.
- Manage the outbound schedule to ensure timely staging and loading of orders.
- Collaborate with the guardhouse, jockey, on-shift supervisors, and hourly operators to streamline processes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of warehouse activities.
- Assist with inventory management and control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 2+years of similar warehouse experience
- 2+years of data entry/computer skills in relation to loading schedules and warehouse data collection
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively with a proactive approach.
- Strong team player with excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferences:
- Experience in warehouse, shipping & receiving, or transportation planning.
- Familiarity with DLX or other Warehouse Management Systems.
- SAP experience.
Experience Required:
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
Education Required:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
Additional Information:
- Candidate must be flexible with their schedule, including some weekend work as needed.
