About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Family Practice to join a community health outpatient clinic in a locum tenens capacity. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rewarding setting that serves diverse and underserved populations.
Position Overview
- Start Date: January 6, 2025
- Contract Length: 3 months, with potential for extension
- Shift Details:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
- Coverage: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Practice Details
- Setting: Outpatient community health clinic
- Patient Volume: Up to 18 patients per day
- Patient Population: Newborns to geriatrics
- Support Staff:
- Dedicated medical assistant
- On-site receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians
- Access to pediatricians and local healthcare administrators
- Special Procedures:
- Basic outpatient procedures (injections, IUD placement, minor wound care)
- EMR System: EPIC
Candidate Requirements
- Licensure: Active Washington State license required
- DEA Certification: Active WA DEA required
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Recent face-to-face patient care within the past year
- Experience working in a fast-paced setting with vulnerable populations
- Language Skills: Spanish or Russian proficiency is a plus (not mandatory)
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu vaccination required
- Additional Certifications: BLS, ACLS, or other credentials as required during credentialing
Travel and Compensation
- Travel Expenses: Covered (flight, rental car, or mileage, and lodging)
- Bill Rate
- Orientation: Paid; onsite orientation provided
Additional Information
- Providers are expected to work with minimal ramp-up time after initial orientation.
- Must be comfortable managing a fast-paced, high-volume clinic setting.
- Overtime approved only under specific circumstances.
