The anticipated salary range for this role is between $179,000.00 and $230,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
Candidate will manage functional due diligence and locational transition planning as part of a multi-year, multi-location strategy for the Americas Division. The focus will be on partnering with and driving change within Risk and Compliance groups. Candidate will work with these teams to analyze their current location, alignment and processes, and develop recommendations to move roles offshore, or to a new onshore location. Design holistic project plans and implementation roadmaps which provide due diligence, execution and go live support inclusive of forecasting, benefits analysis and tracking of progress on expected efficiency gains, cost avoidance and cost reductions. The candidate should have experience working in a project management role for Risk or Compliance groups, driving change and location planning.
Role Objectives
- Manage endtoend delivery across a multidimensional program in partnership with CxOs and functional leads
- Define program stakeholders scope timing resource requirements and deliverables Implement standardized templates and communication channels to drive transparency and consistency across program effort
- Identify and mobilize subject matter experts throughout the organization to contribute as required
- Monitor delivery throughout the life of the program and assess outcomes to ensure completeness and sustainability Modify program plan andor timelines as necessary in coordination with business stakeholders Reexamine financial impacts to timing and or scope changes and report accordingly
- Review and sign off on milestones and completion proposals Provide ongoing reporting and analytics on performance cost and delivery and document approvals
- Form strong partnerships with business stakeholders across the enterprise to influence define and agree on program scope timelines and target deliverables
- Promote coordination between program workstreams to ensure alignment and awareness of overarching program objectives
- Partner with impacted process owners to inform program delivery and objectives Share expected outcomes and impact assessments to encourage buyin on target end state
- Cultivate and maintain internal network of subject matter experts to advise on questions and contribute to program delivery as required Align with program management teams in other regions or business verticals to share best practice and collaborate on crossdivisional or crossregional initiatives as appropriate
- Demonstrate strong experience in locational strategies including outsourcing offshoring nearshoring with a focus on Risk Management and Compliance functionsprocesses
- Leverage excellent organizational skills to establish standard framework and approach for transformation program setup Guide team members on creating wellstructured program teams with clear roles and responsibilities
- Employ communication skills to articulate a clear vision of program deliverables and encourage buyin across all stakeholder groups including business leadership process owners and infrastructure partners
- Continuously solicit feedback and insights from stakeholders and subject matter experts to inform improvements to program plans
- Engage Six Sigma lean andor agile techniques as appropriate
Qualifications and Skills
Project Management experience in a financial firm
Project Management Skills Excel Project PowerPoint Financial Forecasting Communications skills are a must
Risk andor Compliance background
Location Strategy experience is a plus
