The RN Unit Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing nursing operations, ensuring quality resident care, managing staff, and maintaining regulatory compliance within the long-term care facility.Nursing Staff Management:Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedbackEnsure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and regulationsMaintain appropriate staffing levels and schedule coverageClinical Oversight:Oversee resident care and ensure quality standards are metParticipate in interdisciplinary care planning meetingsConduct resident assessments and develop care plansMonitor and ensure proper documentation of resident careAdministrative Duties:Manage unit operations and coordinate daily activitiesMaintain accurate resident records and reportsEnsure proper inventory and supply levelsParticipate in quality assurance and improvement initiativesQualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.Current RN license in the state of practice.3-5 years of long-term care nursing experience.Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
